Frequently Asked Questions

The ScareFest 2012 weekend will be here before you know it and I’m sure you have lots of questions. I’m going to try to put you at ease by anticipating what you might like to know before heading out for Lexington to go to ScareFest.

Q. What is the address to the Lexington Center?

A. 430 West Vine Street, Lexington, KY 40507. Please click here if you would like to see more of the facility where ScareFest will be housed.

Q. What if I have a question on my way into Lexington, who do I call?

A. Here are two numbers that you can call if you need help or if you have a question:

  • Chuck Starr – cell 859-361-1515
  • Patti Starr – cell 859-576-5517

If you call and it goes into voicemail please repeat your phone number two times. Sometimes the cell phone will break up and it may cause us to miss some of your numbers to call back. We will return your call as soon as possible.

Q. What do we need to bring with us if we are picking up advanced ticket purchases or Golden Tickets?

A. Bring your valid picture ID to the Advanced Ticket Sale Counter.

Q. Once I enter the event will I be able to leave and return later that day?

A. Yes, you will be given a colored wristband that will reflect the type of ticket that you purchased.

Q. Where do we park our vehicles once we arrive at the Lexington Center?

A. For free parking, go to the Cox Street parking lot at the west end of the Lexington Center. If that one is full then you can park on High Street across from Rupp Arena. There will be plenty of parking for the ScareFest fans.

Q: Is your event wheelchair accessible?

A: Yes.

Q. What is the opening and closing schedule for each day of the ScareFest convention?

A. We have two times when people will be allowed into ScareFest. Golden Ticket fans will enter one hour earlier than the general public. These are the General Public Hours:

  • Friday: 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm (Golden Tickets enter at 4:00 pm)
  • Saturday: 11:00 am – 9:00 pm (Golden Tickets enter at 10:00 am)
  • Sunday: 11:00 am – 4:00 pm (Golden Tickets enter at 10:00 am)

Q: Do the stars, TV personalities, and guests, charge for their autographs?

A: Yes. The price ranges from $10 to $30 per autograph. You can also take pictures if you pay the star, TV personalities, or guests.

Q: Are all the stars, TV personalities, and guests guaranteed to be present at the festival?

A: We would love to guarantee that all the celebrities listed will be at ScareFest, but like most events and conventions we cannot make this guarantee. Every guest we list is under contract to appear but sometimes due to professional and personal commitments a few may not make it. An Act of God may interfere and due to flights and weather. Illness may be another factor for a guest not to appear.

Q. Will there be a program for the ScareFest?

A. Yes, it is an 8 ½ x 11 inch, full color cover, packed full of information about all the stars, celebrities, sponsors, and a list of all the events, workshops, panels, films, and seminars that will be offered. The program also has an area beside each star’s bio where you can get an autograph from your favorite celebrity. This will be a keepsake that will thrill you for years to come. It will become a collector’s item as ScareFest continues to grow.

The ScareFest was created by Jeff Waldridge, Patti and Chuck Starr and is owned by Patti Starr. The ScareFest will be held at the Lexington Convention Center in Lexington, Kentucky, one of the largest convention centers in the state with an abundance of parking on site.
